The D3 Family Funds invest in domestic micro-cap companies with equity market capitalizations up to 1.5 billion at the time of investment. The funds are organized as limited partnerships and managed by Nierenberg Investment Management Company, Inc., based in Camas, Washington. All of the limited partners are known to David Nierenberg, Henry Hooper, Cara Denver and Peter Johnson. Due to rules established by the Securities and Exchange Commission, all investors must be accredited and/or qualified persons in order to invest. The funds are not open to the general public and they are currently closed to new investors.
